The transvaginal mesh implant was created to treat Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) and/or Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP). This one is an old case that has gained significant traction over the past few years. On Aug. 9, 2004, in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Zinc électrolytique du Canada ltée released sulphur trioxide chemicals exposing people within the area. A $1.6 million settlement was reached between the company and lead plaintiff Jean-Luc Génier. Livingston International have recently agreed to a $19 million settlement after failing to pay their Canadian workers with overtime that they were legally entitled to.
